Judge:- John Geldard
The Royal Highland Show, being the first of the Royals was held from Thursday 22nd. to Sunday 25 th of June with the Lleyn being judged by Lleyn Chairman John Geldard, Kendal, Cumbria, on the Thursday.
It was pleasing to see that there were 8 exhibitors present with some classes having up to 17 entries. The quality of the sheep was very good throughout, with the sheep that came to the peak being an excellent example of the breed.
The Llain Meddygon Perpetual Cup was awarded to Overall Champion and Male Champion, aged ram shown by Brian Walling, Farmstock Genetics, Selkirk, Flock 983. The ram was purchased as a shearling Ram from the Carlisle Lleyn sale in 2004 from John Page, Edenhall, Penrith. Reserve Overall Champion was again awarded to Brian Walling, Farmstock Genetics, Selkirk, Flock 983 for a home-bred shearling ewe. The shearling ewe was by the Champion Ram.
