| 2009 Photo Competition
We are following up last year’s very successful photo competition again this year. It is free to enter and a rosette will be awarded to the winner of each class. There will also be a small prize for the Overall Prizewinner.
Entries open on 30th June and close on 30th October 2009. All entries will be displayed and judged at the Society AGM, held at the Nanhoron Arms Hotel, Nefyn on 7th November 2009.
Classes
Class 1 – Ewe with pure twin lambs
Class 2 – Ewe with crossbred lambs
Class 3 – Flock of sheep (with or without lambs)
Class 4 – Ewe or Ram lamb/s
Class 5 – Shearling Ewe/s or Ram/s
Class 6 – Aged Ewe/s or Ram/s
Class 7 – Sheep in the show ring
Class 8 – Scenic sheep
If entering pictures of crossbred sheep, please identify the animals and state the breed cross.
If you are submitting photographs containing images of sheep that do not belong to you, please ask permission of the owner before entering the photograph. Please also make sure that the owners of the sheep are identified either in the title (for digital entries), on the back of the photograph, or on a document accompanying the entries.
Digital Entries
Please label your CD with your name and flock number. Ensure that your photos have the class number saved in the title. Additional information (e.g. crossbred info or owner details) can be supplied via a Word document on the CD, or in hard copy format.
Traditional Photo Entries
Please write your name, flock number and class number on the back of the photograph. If you would like your photos to be returned, please enclose a self-addressed envelope.
The Lleyn Sheep Society reserves the right to use any photograph entered into the competition for future publicity material, including use on the Society website.
