Mindful that the Lleyn Sheep Societyâ€™s (LSS) aim is to maintain the Lleyn breed and promote the breed, breeders and Society.
We take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information in a legitimate manner to administer your account and to provide the services you require as a fully paid up member of the Society.
The information (name and contact details) you supply to the Society may be used for the following:
â€¢ To contact you regards to your membership or animal registrations
â€¢ To display your membership listing in the annual printed handbook
â€¢ To send you a copy of the annual handbook, regular newsletters and other correspondence relating to the breed and Society matters (post, email, text & telephone)
â€¢ To contact you with regards to your local Lleyn breeders club, contact may come direct from your local club (post, email, text & telephone).
We may pass your details on to livestock markets regards Society sales, Society accountants, Grassroots Software, and Lleyn Sheep Breeders Club Secretaries on matters relating to your LSS membership or your animal registrations. We may pass on your contact details over the phone and/or email to Society members and other potential customers/breeders. We will not share your details with organisations outside of the Society unless we are legally obliged to do so.
Your information will be held for the duration of your membership. After which if you wish to have your details removed from the records, please contact the office in writing to request this removal. If you are unhappy with the way the LSS handles your data, you may complain to the ICO www.ioc.org.uk
From time to time we gather information from non members.
Non members can request sale catalogues.Â We will gather your name, postal address, email address and telephone number.Â With your consent we will forward this information to the relevant auctioneers to fulfill your request.
Following Society Sales, we gather the names and postal addresses of purchasers.Â Non-members are sent correspondence enabling them to enhance their purchase by becoming a member of the Society to allow future registration of stock.
Non members may contact the office to request a membership pack and/or sales catalogue.Â This information will be used to post out the pack before then been deleted.
The LSS also occasionally runs competitions in which name and contact details are gathered.
The Society will only hold the above information for as long as necessary and then we will look to dispose in a safe manner.Â Â If you do not want your information to be used, please contact the office immediately. The LSS will not pass your details on to any third party outside of the Society unless legally obliged to do so.If you are unhappy with the way the LSS handles your data, you may complain to the ICO www.ioc.org.uk
