Coronavirus Outbreak

The Lleyn Sheep Society’s thoughts are with our members, their families and friends in this time of uncertainty and restrictions.

The situation regards the Coronavirus outbreak is changing daily with updates from Government bringing in further restrictions.  It is inevitable that the summer shows and events timetable is going to be affected with some shows already announcing cancellations or postponements.  The Society is updating information on the website and social media platforms as and when available.

The Society encourages members to keep in contact and use social media to help show the world that the Lleyn Sheep is still very much active (@lleynsheep).  It also enables those feeling isolated to share with others.  The Society is updating a ‘lambing photo gallery’ on the website and encourages members to send photos and help update to show that although the world is at a standstill, the lambing shed is still a hive of activity.  It could also help give some light relief.

The Society staff; Gwenda and Heather continue to work as normal from their home offices and will continue to be contactable via email and telephone.  Subject to being affected by the virus they will continue to offer you uninterrupted service.  Should this situation change the Society will make every effort to update members as soon as possible via the usual channels.

The office is in the process of preparing the next mailing which will include a newsletter, ewe lamb registration forms, ram registration/inspection forms and sale entry forms.  This should be with you by mid to late April.  The 2020 Handbook is also in its final stages and should arrive with you approximately mid-April.  These approximate dates are subject to changes in the ongoing situation.
