Sale at Bakewell Livestock Centre – Saturday 20th September 2014

With a mixed show of sheep, buyers were selective with their purchases.  Good quality, well grown sheep sold well.

G & A Fort, Keighley topped the females selling the 1st prize pen of shearling ewes fro £200/head.  Messrs Fort sold a further two pens at £170/head.  M Kinnes, Kilham sold the first pen into the ring at £168/head.  AW Davies sold for £160/head.

Ewe lambs were a little slower.  GR & VM Matravers topped at £92/head through the ring.  TP Radford, Grantham sold the first prize pen after the sale at £120/head to M Harris, Northallerton.  AW Davies, Pwhelli sold his pen for £150/head also after the sale.

Rams topped at 470gns for G & A Fort.  They sold Brightonhouse Class-Leader,  a H & M Dugdale sired ram.  The champion ram from AW Davies, Bronallt Carl for 390gns.
