2025 Royal Welsh Show
Breeders were out in force for this year’s Royal Welsh Show Lleyn judging - but it was a clean sweep for the Wells family who lifted both the Overall and Reserve Championship honours.
Tapped out as the Breed Champion on the day was the shearling ram. On his first outing, he is sired by a Wray Castle ram purchased for 1400gns at Ross-on-Wye in 2023. Out of a home-bred ewe, this ram is destined for one of the Society Sales this year.
The aged ewe, again from the Wells family, secured the reserve championship honours. This girl is no stranger to the show ring, having already claimed the champion female title here as a shearling ewe. Out of a home-bred ewe, she is sired by Lluest Jerry which was bought at Brecon.
