After a scortching week at the Royal Welsh Show, the Lleyn classes once again delivered an exceptional showcase of the breed, with exhibitors presenting sheep of outstanding quality and consistency! The standard across all classes was praised highly, reflecting the dedication and stockmanship of breeders from across Wales and those who had travelled across the border from England to exhibit this year. With spectarors travelling far and wide to the see this year's judging it was a pleaseure to see all classes well supported, the biggest class of the day was the Shearling ewe class was sight to see with 14 entries forward in the ring for our judge Mr Alun Bennett where he started with a very strong class of Aged Rams where he found his Champion of the day.

There was a positive atmosphere and buzz around the ring from supporters, fellow breeders and friends in the sunshine and credit must go to all 8 exhibitors who had travelled to this year's show and put forward a first‑class display of the Lleyn breed. The Society would like to extend its thanks to all exhibitors for their continued support and warm welcome at this years show and for a wonderful reception on the Society's stand in the Cynefin Sheep Village. It was great to see such a showcase of the breed at this years event and we hope to see more exhibitors enter their Lleyn sheep in the future! A special mention must got o Wayne Hutchington who was present on the day to take our Championship photography and to the Twose family would supplied some outstanding Shearling Ewes to showcase the breed of the Society's promotional stand. 

The Society would also like to thank the 2026 judge, Mr Alun Bennet who had travelled down to undertake the challenging task of placing the classes and to his wife Helen for judging our Lleyn Young Handlers classes on the Monday evening and a special mention must go to Bethan Vaughan for sponsoring the trophies for our two young handlers classes this year.
