2025 Builth Sale Report

E & D Jones, Lluest Wen, Commins Coch enjoyed a tremendous trade for their run of Lleyn rams at the Society's annual sale at Builth in conjunction with NSA Ram Sale, where they topped the sale at 1800gns.

Leading the day's trade was the Lluest ram (00599/2415684). Sired by new stock ram, Whitlaw Landmark (00983/2218748) and out of a home-bred ewe, he was knocked down to Mrs L A Lean & Sons, Troed Y Rhiw Farm, Mid Glamorgan.

Next best at 1650gns was the Lluest ram (00599/2415663). Backed by the same genetics, being sired by Whitlaw Landmark, this ram headed home with Penrice Castles Estate, Home Farm, Swansea.

Moments later, Lluest (00599/2415661) was snapped up by R A Davies, Gelli Oer for 1300gns. He is another sired by Whitlaw Landmark.

Attaining 1000gns was Lluest (00599/2415653). Another son of Whitlaw Landmark and out of a home-bred ewe, this ram was bought by G Jerman, Powys. 

WJ & DJ Williams, Bodtacho Ddu, Gwynedd sold his pen leader, Tacho (00350/2409094) for 800gns.  Sired by a Lluest stock ram (00599/2011941) and out of a home-bred ewe, this ram was purchased by West Berwick Farm, Skipton.

Matching that 800gns price tag was Celt Ned (02339/2402786) from D T Jones, Bryn Rhydd, Edern, Pwllheli. A son of a Lluest stock ram (00599/2214463) and out of a home-bred ewe, he was another bought by West Berwick Farm,
