2025 Royal Cornwall Show

There was a great turnout at The Royal Cornwall Show this year, with 11 exhibitors battling for places with 93 Lleyn sheep entered! Well done to all who took part. Results are as follows.

Male results:

Aged Ram:- 1st Shaun Carter, 2nd Darren & Sarah Searle, 3rd Tom Hall, 4th Alice Endicott.

Shearling Ram:- 1st Darren & Sarah Searle, 2nd Avril Glessing, 3rd Antony Carter, 4th Rachael Bromage, 5th Shaun Carter.

Ram Lamb:- 1st Darren & Sarah Searle, 2nd Avril Glessing, 3rd & 4th Shaun Carter, 5th Avril Glessing

Male Champion went to Darren & Sarah Searle’s homebred Shearling Ram.

They also took the Reserve Male Champion with their ram lamb.

Female results:

Aged Ewe having reared lambs:- 1st Pat Martin, 2nd Darren & Sarah Searle, 3rd Avril Glessing, 4th Shaun Carter, 5th Avril Glessing.

Ewe with Twins at Foot:- 1st Avril Glessing, 2nd Rachael Bromage, 3rd Alice Endicott, 4th Pat Martin.

Shearling Ewe:- 1st Darren & Sarah Searle, 2nd Antony Carter, 3rd Shaun Carter, 4th Pat Martin, 5th Amy Roskilly.

Ewe Lamb:- 1st Darren & Sarah Searle, 2nd Pat Martin, 3rd Avril Glessing, 4th Tom Hall, 5th Shaun Carter.

Group of Three results:-1st Darren & Sarah Searle, 2nd Rachael Bromage, 3rd Avril Glessing.

Female Champion went to Darren & Sarah’s Shearling Ewe.

Reserve Champion female went to Pat Martin’s Aged Ewe.

Breed Championship went to Darren & Sarah Searle’s Shearling Ram. His mother actually took the Breed Championship at Royal Cornwall Show the last two years in row and has retired from showing, so he’s carrying the flag for his mother!

Darren & Sarah also won the Reserve Breed Championship with their lovely Shearling Ewe. Congratulations to the Searle for winning the championship and to the exhibitors for taking part and showing the Lleyn breed well.
